Oh look, you made it. :) Whatβs good? Iβm Angela.
I like to think that my life is a mix of the deepest conversation threads on Twitter, motivational messages that keep me moving on days when I want to move to a remote island, pop-culture news (Yes, I DO care what Tracee Ellis Ross wore today) the feeling of opening and highlighting gems in a new book and the feeling of a good glass of wine + Netflix on a Friday night to help ease on into the weekend. Chances are like me, you enjoy the simple things in life but youβre naturally complex and your mind is constantly in motion. While most of us work, socialize and create things online β and while we curate everything to look perfect and visually-appealing for our Instagram feeds β life isnβt always that cute. If youβre here because you want to read about the beautiful highlights of life but also the struggles, pitfalls and challenges that make us all who we are, make us relatable, and make us human, then youβve come to the right place.
Weβve all felt some of the same joys, dealt with some of the same sadness and heartbreak and waded through this life journey hella confused but still pushing through day-by-day. I have a feeling that my experiences are likely some of yours. So, itβs time to talk about them and dig into who we are In Real Life.
Xoxo

Long commutes. Drawn-out appointment wait times. A nice hot bath. A night where you need to disconnect from the internet.
There's always a perfect time to zone out and listen to a podcast. Personally, my 1 1/2-2 hour commute is where I chose to jump back into my love of podcasts after needing a distraction from the chaos of the Austin, Texas roads. So if you have a long drive like me or you just need your hot tea fix for the week, I developed a list to keep you in tip-top shape with some of the best podcasts in the game. Whether your taste is politically-inclined, pop-culture savvy, self-care/mental health focused or on the entrepreneurship tip β I've got you.
Here are a few new ones I've discovered since first putting out my list ββ> Jesus & Jollof, #SecureTheSeat, Don't @ Me + Affirm.
This life is one big long journey and it's not always going to be a smooth one
One word I've embraced when it comes to heading into 2018? Grace.
I'm without a doubt my own worst critic and I've learned to extend a graceful hand to myself and others because we're all just one mistake away from falling apart.
